FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is psychodynamic psychotherapy?
Psychodynamic psychotherapy helps you explore deeper patterns behind thoughts, emotions and relationships. By understanding these patterns, you can make more intentional choices and feel less stuck or overwhelmed.

What kinds of issues do you work with?
Common themes include stress and burnout, high expectations and self-criticism, relationship difficulties, life transitions, cultural adjustment, and a general sense of being “stuck”. (If you’re in immediate crisis, please contact emergency services or your GP).

How do we begin?
Start with a free 15-minute online consultation. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to change, and whether we’re a good fit. If it feels right, we’ll book an initial assessment and agree a time for regular sessions.

Do you offer in-person and online sessions?
Yes - subject to availability. In-person sessions are available in London (E14/Canary Wharf), and online sessions are available for clients across the UK and EU time zones. Some availability may be offered in Marbella (Spain) — please ask.

Where are you located in London?
Capstan Square, E14 3EU (Docklands/Canary Wharf area). Full details are provided when sessions are confirmed.

How long and how often are sessions?
Sessions are usually 50 minutes, once per week, at the same time each week. We can discuss short-term work or open-ended therapy in your consultation.

How many sessions will I need?
It varies. Some people find focused work helpful over 12–20 sessions; others prefer open-ended therapy for deeper, longer-term change. We’ll review progress regularly.

What are your fees?
Please enquire during the free consultation for current fees for in-person and online sessions. Concessionary rates may be available in specific circumstances.

Is therapy confidential?
Yes. What you share is confidential, with standard professional exceptions (for example, serious risk of harm). We’ll talk through confidentiality, privacy and data protection at the start.

Do you work with couples or children?
At present the practice focuses on individual adult psychotherapy. If you need a different service, we can suggest onward options.

Do you prescribe medication?
No. Psychotherapists do not prescribe medication. If you’re considering medication, we can discuss this and liaise with your GP or psychiatrist if needed.

What if I’m in crisis or need urgent help?
I don’t provide emergency services. If you are in immediate danger or feel unable to keep yourself safe, contact emergency services, your GP, NHS 111, or the Samaritans (116 123 in the UK).

Do you offer therapy in Spanish/Polish/other languages?
I offer therapy in English and Polish.

What qualifications and training do you have?
I have Master’s degree in psychodynamic therapy (4 years) from Oxford University, MSc in Psychology and additional professional training in Classical Music. Details are listed on the Qualifications page.

Do you work with clients in Marbella?
Yes—support for English-speaking clients is available in Marbella (and online). Please enquire for current availability.
